‘A Brief History of the Firm of L.A. Ratcliffe, Printer and Stationer’

Ratcliffe’s was a prominent firm in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, for over 100 years but the history goes back to early in the nineteenth century. The illustrated booklet describes how the firm came into the Ratcliffe family then later into the Wadsworth family. It has now been incorporated into the BOS Office Supplies Group.

‘Rotherham Rotary Roundwalk Walking Booklet’

Walking instructions for the famous 25-mile Rotherham Roundwalk in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions, plus various other shorter circular walks based on the route.

Printing from PDF files:

Most booklets are A5 size and printed on A4 paper with two pages on the front and back of each sheet. If you have a duplex printer, double sided printing should be automatic, otherwise it is best to print the even sides first as follows:

1. When you have loaded the PDF click on the print symbol and the print dialogue appears.

2. Set Page Sizing and Handling to Booklet

3. Under Print Range set Booklet Subset to Back Side Only.

4. Set the number of Copies required (if more than one check the Collate box) and click OK.

5. To print portion of booklet select Pages to Print (multiple of 4) e.g. 13-16

6. Return the printed sheets to the tray ensuring the correct orientation depending on the printer so it will print on the plain side.

7. Repeat 3 to 5, this time with Subset set to Front Side Only.
